读《简·爱》有感在我的心目中，《简·爱》是一部完美而伟大的著作，因为它使我懂得了什么是善恶美丑，学会了怎样做人，而书中的主人公简·爱就是我学习的榜样，她的聪明、善良、坚强、有主见，是最令人敬佩的。简·爱的一生悲欢离合。她遭遇了许多挫折和坎坷，能够说是不幸的，可是她却从不向命运低头，任何困难在她面前都会感到恐惧。

简·爱从小被她的舅妈收养，受尽了她的虐待。并且她舅舅的儿子约翰里德还是一个又胖又大、蛮横无理、猪狗不如的禽兽。他经常无缘无故地打骂简·爱，但她的舅妈不但不去制止，反而支持她野蛮的儿子。然而，简·爱是一个顽强的、决不向恶势力低头的人。她再也忍受不了了，她对约翰的恨压倒了对他的畏惧，不顾一切地跟他对打起来。当然，结果可想而知，简·爱受到了她舅妈的惩罚。但她的这次举动足以令约翰胆颤心惊。

简·爱说过这样的一段话，给我的印象很深，也很能体现她的性格。她说:“如果大家老是对残酷，不公道的人百依百顺，那么那些坏家伙就更要任性胡来了，他们会什么也不惧怕，这样也就永远也不会改好，反而越来越坏，当我们无缘无故挨了打，我们必须要狠狠地回击。”我很赞成简的这种说法，因为自尊、自重是做人的最起码的要求。

可是海伦·彭斯，她的观点与简是截然不一样的。海伦主张凡事能忍就忍，这样自我欢乐，别人也会对你好一些。我觉得海伦的这些话在我们看来是很让人不可理解的。可是她的宽容、忍让以及她那博大的胸怀，是令人钦佩的。我们无需去评价她的话，至少我们应从中悟出些什么。我很喜欢海伦的一句话:“我觉得生命太短促了，不值得把它花费在怀恨和记仇上。”只要我们每人都能记住它，多多去理解别人，体谅别人，关心别人，多看到一些完美的事物，乐观地对待生活，我们的生活中必须会充满阳光。

oliver twist, one of the most famous works of charles dickens’, is a novel reflecting the tragic fact of the life in britain in 18th century. the author who himself was born in a poor family wrote this novel in his twenties with a view to reveal the ugly masks of those cruel criminals and to expose the horror and violence hidden underneath the narrow and dirty streets in london. the hero of this novel was oliver twist, an orphan, who was thrown into a world full of poverty and crime. he suffered enormous pain, such as hunger, thirst, beating and abuse. while reading the tragic experiences of the little oliver, i was shocked by his sufferings. i felt for the poor boy, but at the same time i detested the evil fagin and the brutal bill. to my relief, as was written in all the best stories, the goodneeventually conquered devil and oliver lived a happy life in the end. one of the plots that attracted me most is that after the theft, little oliver was allowed to recover in the kind care of mrs. maylie and rose and began a new life. he went for walks with them, or rose read to him, and he worked hard at his lessons. he felt as if he had left behind forever the world of crime and hardship and poverty. how can such a little boy who had already suffered oppressive affliction remain pure in body and mind? the reason is the nature of goodness. i think it is the most important information implied in the novel by dickens-he believed that goodnecould conquer every difficulty. although i don’t think goodneis omnipotent, yet i do believe that those who are kind-hearted live more happily than those who are evil-minded. for me, the nature of goodneis one of the most necessary character for a person. goodneis to humans what water is to fish. he who is without goodneis an utterly worthleperson. on the contrary, as the famous saying goes, ‘the fragrance always stays in the hand that gives the rose’, he who is with goodneundoubtedly is a happy and useful person. people receiving his help are grateful to him and he also gets gratified from what he has done, and thus he can do good to both the people he has helped and himself. to my disappointment, nowadays some people seem to doubt the existence of the goodnein humanity. they look down on people’s honesty and kindness, thinking it foolish of people to be warm-hearted. as a result, they show no sympathy to those who are in trouble and seldom offer to help others. on the other hand, they attach importance to money and benefit. in their opinion, money is the only real object while emotions and morality are nihility. if they cannot get profit from showing their ‘kindness’, they draw back when others are faced with trouble and even hit a man when he is down. they are one of the sorts that i really detest. francis bacon said in his essay, ‘goodness, of all virtues and dignities of the mind, is the greatest, being the character of the deity, and without it, man is a busy, mischievous, wretched thing, no better than a kind of vermin.’ that is to say a person without goodneis destined to lose everything. therefore, i, a kind person, want to tell those ‘vermin-to-be’ to learn from the kind oliver and regain the nature of goodness.

for her love,ashley was a pure dream. scarlet loved only his bright appearance in fact,as elegant poems sank scarlet into dubious illusion.therefore,she realized her true love wasn’t ashley who was perfect in her,but butlereventually.on the contrary,butler was ambitious,not like ashley.he won his own love finally,scarlet,expressing his power. although butler didn’t integrate intoswelldom really,he was fit for scarlet. however,when scarlet poured her love to butler,he refused her,even abandoned her because his heart was filled with scars. their crystal of love went with the wind,their love gone with the wind.

for her friendship,not only scarlet depended upon melanie,but envied her,getting ashley’s love. in fact,it was not until melanie died that scarlet realized she relied on melanie. melanie was alike an angel from heaven,kindhearted and virtuous. she was core of ashley.in reality,scarlet liked what ashley was,was ashley who was protected by melanie. so in the opposite of envying melanie,scarlet loved her. their friendship was subtle.

for her family,it was a tragedy. eventually,it was incoherent. no parties,no cheerful chatting and laughing,there was just broken walls of tara. all got away from scarlet into another world,leaving her alone to face the cruel war. this witnessed a social vicissitude.

gone with the wind,displayed a pretty woman chasing true love,described a cruel war and depicted a subtle friendship. in the story,selfishness of scarlet,avarice of butler,goodness of melanie and recreance of ashley appeared before our eyes. not only gone with the wind was a novel,but an encyclopediaabout characters.

when a woman has lived through a difficult experience,her character changes a great deal. if she be all tenderness,she will die. if she survive,the tenderness will leave her .hester’s charitable deeds and quiet humility have earned her a reprieve from the scorn of the community. the letter on her chest represents her work on earth ,always helping others,without expecting any thanks. never afterwards,does that scarlet letter leave her chest. the townspeople no longer view the letter as a punishment ,but rather as representing her great strength and bravery and thy say it means “able”.

but arthur dimmesdale,his sin against hester and pearl is that he will not acknowledge them as his wife and daughter in the daylight. he keeps his dreadful secret from all those under his care in the church for seven years for fear that he will lose their love and will not be forgiven. he is too weak to admit his sins. he suffers from mysterious heart trouble,seemingly caused by psychological distress. what’s worse,he is an advisor to the townspeople about their sins.

after mr. dimmesdale’s death ,no one changes more in appearance than roger chilling worth. all his strength and energy has been used to harm his patient . this unhappy man has made his aim in life to add to the suffering of the young minister. when the evil old man no longer has such a purpose,the devil takes him back to the hell . it is a curious subject of observation,however,whether hatred or love are not of the same place. each takes a great deal of emotion from one person. the two feelings seem basically the same,expect that one is smiled upon by god,while the other is worshipped by the devil.

having come back to tala manor,scarlett made up her mind to rally her homeland at any cost when she saw that the former manor had been ruined.later,her second husband died in the fight,she was a widow again.durling that time,rhett had been loving scarlett sincerely and warmly.seeing that rhett could help her rally the manor,scarlett married him.although rhett had similar characteristic attracting her,scarlett still loved ashley.later,their only daughter died accidently,rhett left scarlett sorrowly.and then scarlett realized that rhett was the only one who could fall in love with her.

the novel takes the us civil war as the background.it takes scarlett’s individual activity as the thread.the book show us a tragic love story .a couple who could have a perfect future,but finnally go in opposite direction.as a matter of fact,their charactristics have decided their tragic result inevitably.we feel sorry about the end because we are looking forward to a perfect end,just like scarlett and rhett.in fact,ferfect is always a excessive damand.

i affirm rhett.he brings excitement to scarlett’s life and encourages her impulse to change and succeed.like scarlett,he goes after what he wants and refuses to take ‘no’ for an answer.he is humorous,intelligent and cynical with a hint of treason.he is really a respectable man.i think he finnally left because of love .otherwise,he couldn’t have gone without hesitation.

ashley wilkes is the foil to rhett’s dark,realistic opportunism.if there was no civil war,he is surely a nobility of grace and charm.but history cannot be changed.he bocame a victim of the war.his era was gone with the defeat of the war.at the same time,we cannot deny the fact that he had a chear understanding about reality,which just contribute to his tragedy.

in this book,what i appreciate most is not melanie’skindness or rheet’s dedication and patience,but scarlett’s courage to throw her long-standing morality and tradition whe faced with diffiiculties.at the beginning of the war,she didn’t care about this.in her world are endless dinner parties and dance parties.in her body are her father’s brave irish blood and her mother’s noble french pure blood.she had a vast farm as her home.she had hundreds of slaves.this is scarlett.,a member of noblity,proud and different.however,the war changed everything.her mother died of illness.her father become silent and the farm was nearly deserted.even food became a big problem.all the pressure was put on scarlett’s shoulder.she must feed a family of 9 people in it.what a big difference of level.if all this happened to someone else,he or she may choose to escape.on the contrary,scarlett choose to face the change of life bravely.how can we not admire her courage of to change herself.life is like a mountain.the road can’t be completely smooth.when we fall down from the peak,we may get hert ,we may get disappointed,we may feel despair.but if you want to survive,you must stand up to face it.

it is obvious that 《gone with the wind》 is really a good book,even if a long time has passed away,it is still suitable for today’s society.it is of great importance to change ourselves,change our value even our thoughts when our life chages.

on the other hand,i think there is no real perfect in the world.everybody has his shortcomings.it is necessary for us to learn to forgive others’ faults.if we keep good-tempered,ibelieve there will be more comedy and less tragedy.
